At the end of each week, students are rewarded for good behavior. Students are awarded $1 for each day of the week that they kept their name off the board for disciplinary reasons. This money can then be used at the store to purchase various items. In addition to getting paid for good behavior, students who displayed model behavior (no name on the board) are given an additional recess at the end of the day on Friday. It is a chance for the students to be rewarded for a job well done! Those who did not make the cut are working on classwork and making plans to earn TGIF for the next week. It has been a successful way to encourage positive behavior and gives those kids who always comply a perk for their efforts.
